Great amount of configurability optionsNew this version: runs much smoother...no more screwiness when returning to desktop from fullscreen mode.... more presets added... zoom feature added. At first, it honestly wasn't the most visually astounding plug in I've seen for Winamp... but, the more I started playing with the configurations, the more respect I began to gain for the power and potential of this plug in. This really has some similarities to AVS... you can interact with the visuals and save your own presets. It still lacks the overall complexity you can access with AVS...but, judging on how many versions Pascal has already submitted, I'm almost positive we will be seeing a great deal more for Space in the future. Some very nice presets were included in this version as well. As of now... I was completely entranced by simply choosing some very basic effects and throwing the mirror/vertical effect on. All these functions and much more can be accessed in full screen mode as well as windowed mode by right clicking on the visuals. I have one request to the author: I don't know how possible this would be... but, I think it would be great if the visuals didn't stop moving while you access the configurations.... I found that it was disrupting the trance that I was falling under. Download this one... and if you aren't impressed...try playing with all the configurations. -dg

Just what I've been searching for! (kind of...) - This is the best visualisation EVER!!! I use Winamp on the computers at college, and I always like visualisations, but hate the fact that they're always in windows. But now they're not! Now everything bright green turns to the visualisation, which is cool especially now just for a laugh I've set the default DOS window background to bright green. Just a couple of problems though - it would be even better if it showed up when I lock my workstation (Windows 2000) then everyone can see it when I dissappear off to the toilet without fear of them messing around with my email and stuff. Do you think you could change this? At the moment, I just get the bright green, and when I log back in it comes up with an error message. Good work! gb & gb Rich - November 26, 2002 by Richard Graham
me and my old computer say hell yeah - ok here's some background...i'm running p166mmx, voodoo3 200, 64 MB of system ram, and windows 95. i was looking for a small, fairly simple windowed plugin that i could get a decent framerate on. 52fps is pretty good for me! i am generally well-satisfied with this vis. my one complaint is that it's a bit colorful for my tastes, but that's not too big of a deal. heck, at 139KB, why not? - August 13, 2002 by dietrich bachman

it run under XP with my GForce DDR - Steve Barkey> if you XP has stopped and made a blue screen error when you started Space, then this is probably a problem with your drivers (maybe you use Betas ones). I never encoutered this problem with my system, but you can try to put your deskto directly in 16bpp in order to avoid Space to make it. Tops - All four of us here agree that this is one of the best. It's response to the music is great with much smoother transitions than AVS though it does twirl a bit too much. However, the twirl is great with my Celtic music. The sheer variety of color is fascinating. I have had it running on my 1.3 gig HP machine under windows XP for hours with out a single problem. - January 29, 2002 by Fred Willson

OUCH - This plug-in made my Windows XP machine "STOP" error and dump. I have a P3-800 with a GEForceII. I think its made for Windows 98. - December 10, 2001 by Steve Barkey
Very good plugin - Well i have seen the previous versions and i actually saw it before i started playing with AVS.In my opinion it is a great plugin,it runs faster than avs (well maybe because it doesn't make so tough equations like AVS), i haven't experienced any crash problems with it for the half an hour i spent toying with its effects.I really enjoy that option for setting the desired fps-this is what i really need for avs-some presets just run too fast( hey llama fix!i don't want to manually add blurs every time :) A problem really is what the reviewer said-it pauses when pressed to configure, not that it is so important. Also i thing you should try making a separate menu where we can see all the things that are on at the moment and thus be able to turn them off faster. Is it possible to add more than one effect? In the end: i think that it is a great plugin, works fast, doesn't crash much, provides a good amount of interesting features. It would be a great experience for anybody that is new to winamp visualisations, and it would be useful to everybody that wants to start with AVS and wants to see how things work.I think what it misses is a little easier to use interface.I have never created a plugin( i HAVE dedicated the last six months to making AVS presets and will now REPEAT,tho i haven't yet said it:making AVS presets is Not as hard as creating a plugin). That's all.Now download this, please. - December 10, 2001 by JaY FaTBoY

Trippin in the 60s - This is the plugin I needed to complete my setup. Finally I can do other apps while listening to my fav rock and having a great psychodelic background on my desktop. THIS is what the others are missing!!!!!!!!! A little more work on the coarse palettes and (slightly) grainey effects and this display WILL be UNBEATABLE!!!!!!! - September 8, 2001 by Mark Kovach

Im impressed - A very very nice plugin, easy to use and the effects are great. If you liked AVS then you'll sure like this one, it runs a lot smoother, the graphics are a tiny bit less then AVS but this one is better according to me. A must have ... - March 30, 2001 by Paul Paulus
