Resurected from the dead Resurgence is the concept of JRS2 completly remade and revamped from the ground up (only coded this time!), main code is thanks to Hammerhead who helped me give the skin much love and attention to ensure the skin didn't just look cool, but had the guts behind it to run well. Amazing - Ridiculously good looking skin, one of my instant favorites. I couldn't resist using this. The only problems were that the other modes were rather crammed and seemed rushed, but the normal mode is dazzling. Some of the text is hard to read as well. Also, having open a playlist editor or media library to select songs is quite bulky and has a couple unnecessary features. Dayum - This skin is very well done. It may look intimadating to some folks who like the very basic type of skin. However the tool tips and the tutorial with button highlights on the actual player are very helpful. Clean skin nice functionality. More than enough color schemes to keep most folks happy. Winshade mode was a nice change from the "stick", cool design yet small enough to not take up much space at all. Stick mode was clean, easy to use, the ability to stretch it to your prefered size was cool. Allows you to have a small stick mode or a full screen stick if you prefer. Wonderful - I think this is about as good as it gets. I won't start on all the things I love, so I'll take the ones I don't love. The buttons are a bit small, especially on high resolution screens, but it is scaleable, so it shouldn't be a problem as such. The Change mode button and the Close button shouldn't switch places from normal to shade mode, too easy to close it when you want stick mode. Hasn't Left - I installed this over a week ago, shortly after it came out. It hasn't left my desktop sense (and that's saying a lot, considering I don't usually use any skins...I just collect 'em). The color schemes are wonderful; I've found several that I can't really decide between. I keep it on the default; oftentimes, the default is there for a reason. However, I personally like it with the bars off. Cleaner look that way. BUT, you have that option! Oh, and the walkthrough is amazing; It really integrates with the player, highlighting the buttons that it's talking about. The skin doesn't open any odd windows on startup (not even the walkthrough, which gets annoying after the second time you start your player if it shows up everytime), and the ability to integrate the controls on the playlist is perfect for docking the playlist on the left or right with autohide. In fact, I can only think of one real complaint about this skin: The volume dial, when right clicking, is supposed to mute the volume; but, it only goes down to 1%. But, since I don't use mute much (I'd much rather pause), it's far from a make-or-break. And FYI: This is my first review I've posted; I'm not usually big on giving feedback, but this one's worth it! The true meaning of skinning - This is the first skin to drive me crazy because this skin is fabulous. I love the way everything is accesible from the playlist. Fully functional and good looking. Holy Sh*t - i knew this one was gonna be a good one from the moment i saw the preview pic. it is extemely pleasing to the eye, and the color themes go on forever. I liked the walkthrough at the beginning too, with this skins vast features, it was needed. (Not in a bad way though) The 2 different windowshade modes are awesome too. I can only find one flaw. Nearly flawless - I love everything about this skin EXCEPT... it doesn't show the second digit of the minutes of play. This is rather annoying since Winamp is my movie player and most of the files I play in winamp are longer than 9:59, which screws up the display. Nice - I like this skin. Tonz of color themes, GR8 animation on the EQ (docking and undocking). I think my only complaint is that many of the buttons are too damn hard to hit when your monitor is set at a higher resolution. 4 stars for the thought put into this one and the execution. The best of them all! - This has been my default skin since I discovered it at the GUIOlympics a few weeks ago. It is simply AWESOME! Pretty cool... not my taste, but still good. - Eh, I dont really like the way this looks... The sleek roundness doesnt look good on my sqare screen.
