the best there is - I have used this skin for about 5 years straight now. It's the best skin for winamp 5, and the most important thing is that it has a wide aspect of colors to choose from. In that way it can be used with ANY wallpaper and desktop style. It has perfekt appearance modes (normal, midi, stick) to choose whenever my desktop needs more space and effeciensy. Far Out! - I concur. This skin is a dream use. Tons of color options to match virtually any wallpaper or Windows theme and a far out look that that'll keep your desktop looking futuristic and polished are just a couple of the many cool features this skin employs. One of my favorite things about this skin is the stick mode. In stick mode, it's not simply a boring mp3 stick like most skins. This stick is like a tube of alien vile. My 2 cents - I've been using Winamp for almost ten years. This is one of the best skins that I've ever used. * It didn't crash my Winamp, even on Vista. * I have access to most of the Winamp functions from the main screen. * There are lots of options on how Winamp can be viewed using this skin. Quite simply, the very best winamp skin ever - I've been using Winamp since either the beginning or very near beginning of it's creation. I was using it when I still needed to explain to my friends at university what MP3's were, we all eventually went onto to pass degrees in Computer Science so it shows how early an edition of Winamp I was using. I'd got really used to the old Winamp classic skin and found the new skin equally easy to use. I tried other custom skins on previous versions and found most to be pointless, every now and then I'd find one that stuck to the principles of the Winamp design and I'd use it for a while. When Winamp got to version 3 I found this skin. It was obviously different to the classic and modern design and yet at the same time was easy to use and included everything that a user needed in a Winamp skin. It's three modes are faultless, the animations are fantastic and, as it's skin colours can be changed, it means that it can match pretty much any windows theme you can throw at it. It's quite simply perfection. I try out other skins every now and then hoping for the next Invicta skin and unfortunately it's only real comparison is the originally intended modern skin of Winamp 3. It's tidy, functional, sexy and swish. I'm reluctant to say that I don't know much about the author(s) of the skin but Winamp should employ them, if they already do, they should give them a pay rise. The fact that the skin is pretty much always near the top of the list should indicate that the people who regard this skin as being difficult are either rivals or people who haven't really given it a chance A Winamp users first skin choice!!!! - April 3, 2007 by Mel Hamer

It's very very nice... - I've absolutely loved the skin. The only thing that's driving me insane is that I can't get the drawers on the stick mode to work. Gorgeous - Fhot. A lot of time and effort went into this, and a good eye for design and details. The visualization window in the center of the player sets off the monochrome appearance and gives it great color theory. You have to appreciate the fact you're getting both spectral analyzer and aesthetic visualizations at once. What appeals to me most about this skin is this is exactly what I would have made (that is if I knew how to skin Winamp), and the exact kind of style I would have gone for. It's got my vote for best. - The most functional and tightly integrated modern skin ever devised for Winamp. It has taken the place of MMD3 on my desktop. My only niggle is the stick mode slide-out playlist starting with the number 0 instead of 1 which puts the parallel bars (marking the currently playing song I presume) one number behind. Heck YES - so, I got sick of MMD3, yeah its definatly possible, so after trying around 15 skins with rough edges and sucky interfaces, I come across this gem. looked good, but....... - this skin looks so awesome and i loved it for about 5 mins, but then i realized some lag issues, when in the second mode ( the small circular one) and in the normal screen that dislpays the title and time elapsed, while in that there is quite a bit of video lag and looks very choppy. Quick way to solve that is to be in the visual selection, it keeps the video lookin right. This skin deserves all the medals it can get! - I just have to say "wow" this skin totally rocks.. As I glance on my winamp after installing the Invicta skin, It totaly gave my desktop an alienated feeling.. as if it came from another world.. pulsating, breathing (almost like) I like its functions, loads of buttons to play with.. and no lagg either when the animation starts.. it all runs natural. Basicaly it have 3 modes, *normal *mini *stick and it can be combinated in so many ways together with video window and playlist.. Impressive. - I haven't really been impressed with any of the modern skins I've seen so far...they were nice, but they didn't fit ME. On a lark, I grabbed Invicta, and all I have to say is...Awesome. The three modes, easily accessed by a single button, rule. Stick mode is especially nice, remaining Always On Top but still unobtrusive at the top of the screen. Alomost perfect - Cool Skin ! but... i read in another review, someone has the same problem i have, there's a bug within the sound and possition indicators. closing and reopening winamp helps, but it should be fixed. Top notch skin - Great form Jan. Personally I'm not a fan of either the large or mid sized skins. But don't worry, I never am.. They look great mind, but minimum desktop space loss is my aim, and they are bulky. I never know where to put rounded skins either.... The mini skin oozes class and there are more quality colour schemes than I know what to do with. It's bumped MMD3 from my desktop, at least for a while. ;) Enabling Desktop Alpha makes it look even better, I need something for my new OC'd 2500 Athlon to do anyway (between 15 and 30% fluctuating extra CPU usage under alpha, no extra if alpha disabled) . New #1 - Hey all, the last time I made a comment was way back when MMD 1.1 & 2.2 was released. Not since have I felt the urge to write another as most skins did not seem to have that 'niche' that great skins needed to fulfil my requirements. I can safely say that this skin, is by far the best I've seen in ages. Aside from the usual colour skins that most skins tend to incorporate, these are outstanding. I agree with William Thurber that "Purple Haze" is a fantastic colour scheme. The stick mode is also another feature that messes up so many skins that could have been. Not here. It will go with any wallpaper / desktop guaranteed. Another advantage is a built in update program. This really is the best skin available, hands down. Holy f****ng Llama !!! - Never had much faith in Winamp 3, much less skins developed for it so far ( albeit a few very good one like MMD3, mind you ). Then I came across Invicta. It made me sign-up for an account here, made me download it, made me drool and mesmorized me beyond belief. By far, this is the most incredible skin ever produced for Winamp. There are plenty of colour schemes I thought, considering this couldn't be done for years with other instances of the player. This is one for the Hall of Fame. Brilliant - I am, it has to be said, a die hard fan of the MMD series, but this has just converted me. I love the way the minimized screen top mode is compact, but all the features you always use are easily available, and don't take ages to load. The ticker works as well! Gotcha!!!! - I recently downloaded almost every skin for winamp 3 and it gave me pleasure for customizing my player. However most of the skin lack the innovative functions that matter to us. Invicta supplied the drought of the "state of the art" mechanism. Bravo. AWESOME - I love the skin, best I've seen so far. I only found one problem with it. I run a pretty nice comp....ati radeon 9700 pro, 2.4 ghz processor, and 512 rd ram, and when i go to the advanced option and enable the better graphics it slows my computer wayyyyyyyy down. I have sysmetrix too and it says im using about 8 or 9% of my computer and still have about 240-250 ram free.
