Excellent, so far one of the "ultimate skin" club - as said inother reviews, this skin i very well designed, loved the 3 shapes of the main window's player. Many colors and combinations. Really modern and temporary designed but stays simples and intituive. Just one thing could be better: the weak clearness of the informations in the main window. But even with that problem to read sometimes the displays, seach a work of art in termes of conception and realization deserves 5 *. I registered just to review this, it's that good! - No contest, this is the best I've seen in a very long time! I'm well impressed with this skin...it has about a million different ways you can view it and use it. Excellent design and functionality...simple enough to understand, arty enough to be stylish and fit into any space i have on my desktop. I downloaded a few skins today but it was a waste of time. If This Is Evolving Lets Go Back In Time - cant read display barely and awesome design idea but was all messed up by simply making all items in lcd unreadable in all color modes possible and so thus the point is what? looks good... but cant see whats good? the gare affect on lcd is a nice idea but often makes the screen not easy to read so lets all revolved away from doing it and make sharp design ideas with clear key elements close at hand and all readable "we should not have to scroll over that lil "dot" to see whats it do, we have the ability to make drawers etc and can make one say for "things" rather then make them a micro dot and have 12 small lil dots all over use a drawer and have in it and have bigger buttons "so thus hiden if not wanted/needed" and yet viewable when they are "a key element for any good skin" - December 22, 2004 by Damien SatansSon

modifying evolver for readability - This is my current skin. I particularly like the winshade mode. However, as others have said, it is difficult reading. So... I went in and modified it. '.wal' files are just zip files, so you can unzip it to a directory, make your changes, rezip the directory, rename it to evolver.wal and there you are. Be sure you make a backup copy in case you hose things. The files I changed were '.png' files that involved alpha channels, so you'll need an alpha aware editor (like GIMP). The changed files were: evolver\shade-2\numfontshade2.png evolver\shade-2\shade2font.png evolver\shade-2\stretchshadow.png You may wish to make similar changes, if necessary, to the other player modes. I changed the colors of the fonts to #999999, you may wish to experiment around to find one you like. The change to stretchshadow.png was to remove the 'speckling' over the display area. This is what great skinning is all about!! - Excellent!! What a great skin! Great layout. Easy to get the hang of. Aesthetically pleasing. There are plenty of color themes to match anybody's preference. The only thing I would mention as far as possible improvements go is that the display could stand out a little better. But that is a trivial matter. This is definitely my personal favourite.-----------P.S. i would also like to mention my congratulations to any of you out there who can't spell dissapointed and who also can't find the options on this skin. it is truly a marvel that you were able to figure out how to post a review. - September 24, 2003 by James Svoboda

Super Slick - This one just rules. Lots of color schemes and animations. The buttons on the compact modes take a bit to get used to (trying to figure out which is what). The only contrast increase I could possibly see that might need changing are the buttons for opening the function panels, but even if you left it alone, it'll still rock! Best in Slim, and... - I agree with most of the reviews, it does need a contrast increase on the font's, so for a 2.0, a font contrast increase would make this skin perfect, ranks right up there with PAD. In Slim mode it really shines because I can plant it right over my taskbar, and cover up the text included in Backgrounds such as stuff from DigitalBlasphemy.com, but besides that, with my Milkdrop Custom Backgrounds, it is really non-invasive of all my other applications sitting right over my taskbar, and it takes no additional system resources. So I leave a Star empty for 2.0 and a hopeful/wise addition of a Font Contrast Increase, maybe a Few Additional Candy Color Themes too, I think a pure black hull, with a brighter candy interior would really be cool! - May 28, 2003 by Kevin McKissick

A revised opinion. - I admit the colour themes, though not upto MMD3 standard, are actually good compared to most other skins. But my only complaint is that they don't go well with the whole of the skin, i.e. probably lacking constrast. The ultimate skin - This is by far the best skin ever, and I really mean it. I've tried loads in my hunt for the perfectly formed skin, and this is it. Neat.. - Pros: Looks awesome, nice color themes. Really good job with the whole overall look of the skin. Cons: No docking parts..I like my Winamp players EQ, Playlist and Player to stay in one piece when moved. Also, the letters and buttons are hard to read. Smokin' - Nice skin. Very. Have one problem with it tho. The video window does not open. At first it did. I played some videos then closed the window. Now the window refuses to open. Good Evolver - muy buen eskin tiene colores y formas muy buenos solo que hay un peque?od detalle en el EQ (equalizador) y es que los botones de ON/OFF y AUTO, estan mal indicados, estan al reves ya que cuando es se?alado el boton de AUTO dice que es el de EQUALIZER ON /OFF y lo mismo sucede con el boton de ON/OFF ya que al colocar el puntero del mouse indica que es el de AUTO con lo consecuente de que al poner el equalizer en ON hay que darle al boton de AUTO. atte. Amazing - This skin is fantastic, has lots of animations and color themes (your only problem is decide which do u prefer), however I've found 2 bugs: in the equalizer (capsule) the animation that slides down 2 show the crossfader and balance isn't working correctly; in the other equalizer the labels AUTO and ON are switched.
