Understated and exceptional - An understated and exceptionsal skin from the artist who created the "TI Inspiration Amp" emulation of a Texas Instrument calculator, ArchiAmp is one of a breed of new classic skins utilizing 3D (see "Proyections" by El*Argento, "Blocks" and "Checkered" by Ryan, and "the Cube" by Kuki). Like a Frank Lloyd Wright building, sometimes form surpasses function, but everythign is intelligently laid out and the passage of the time/elapse bar over the building windows is really a brilliant touch. Building Utopia - I saw work on this building in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, an exhibition on modernism was on. In that sense, it appealed to me. But functionality is slighlty lacking here, and not really an obvious download for people who just like music. - May 11, 2006 by Tim E
