A small, usable skin. Current Version: 0.92

While other skins may excel in the eye candy department Apill cuts to the chase. After all most people use their media player while doing something else. The goal of Apill is a clean, small, useable skin for Winamp 3. Hope you like it.

Notes: Things that remain blue in other color schemes cannot currently be changed. For a complete change log see the readme. Changes in this version:
*Changed player function toggle's inactive state images
*Enlarged video control buttons and changed the vis.
*Added a menu opacity selector menu (left click the thing that looks like an 8 in the EQ (odd place I know, but as good as any))

Coming Back for More! - Ah, yes, the almighty Apill skin. I've used this skin for more than 3 years. Over the course of three computers and currently, on the one I just currently built. This is a truly amazing skin, as it is 'to the point'. If you ever want it to be out of the way and clean, you can click the [X] on the middle right of the main window. 3 years strong - I've been using this skin for a little over 3 years now. I've taken a few breaks here and there to try new stuff out, but I always end up back at "Apill." I have installed it on all 3 of my computers, and will most likely put it on everyone after that. It's very nice for a person like me because I use global hotkeys A LOT. Bring on Apill II! - The best skin I've ever used, and without a doubt the best small skin out there. Nice design, pretty and supremely functional. There are a few tweaks it could do with, such as more and clearer color themes (not something I usually make an issue with, but this is a skin that begs for constant use, and as such it should be easier to co-ordinate it with your desktop) and easier access to the ML. Love it, Update it. - I really do love this skin coz it packs the whole winamp interface in a little beautiful monitor real-estate. When this skin is on, winamp is truly usable because even if "Always On Top", looks beautiful and gives me the rest of the monitor to use for myself. The only reason I gave this skin a rating of 4 stars is because it lacks a "Media Library" button, and like so many skins, doesn't incorporate the Winamp 5 song repeating option. The best there is. Period. - This skin should never have a bad word spoken against it in my opinion. Another good compact - This one's windowshade mode is decent, except you have to toggle the buttons on and off. It's a little bland, and the buttons are tiny, so if you like 3-D animated skins, or if you don't see very well and like big buttons, stay away from this one lol. Sexiest Skin Out There - This skin rocks so much, I made an account just to give a review. It's so small and sleek and sexy it blows my mind. Its got all the buttons, all the displays and well . . . everything, and its tiny. SO HOT! Most of the people giving it poor ratings are requesting functions that it already offers. People complain its too small, want scale option. . . there is one! This skin is so small I have it stitting on top of my screen 1/2 transparent so it dosen't get in the way AT ALL! Ahh...the stars... - Say what you gotta say here, but please remain civilized... The best WA3 skin YET. - I've got a lot of skins for winamp 3 so far, but this one is by far the best. it runs smoothly, it's compact enough that I can put it anywhere without it really being in the way, and it's stylish enough that even though I don't necessarily see it a lot, I won't feel embarassed using it. It doesn't interfere with anything! If I had one bit of criticism, though, it would be that for people that have poor eyesight, this isn't a good choice, because it could presumably be hard to read. Llamalicious! - I've been trying to find a NICE skin, but this has got to be one of the best I've seen. It's a small download and it has a nice rounded look. Opacity settings, windows shade mode, and a nice array of features allow easy navigation around the player. With the windows shade mode on and opacity to 50-30%, you don't even remember it's there. More Contrast PLEASE - The most functional/useful skin by far. Requires minimal real estate, and you can leave it "on top" without interfering with your productivity. Epitome of Simplicity - Honestly, I have jumped between dozens of skins based on design, size, functionality, etc. And if you're like me, you tend to resort back to a favorite; something simple, that you're used to. Fantastic, but... - Little things would go a long way. 1) Easier to read song titles 2) Navigation buttons in Windowshade mode as well as song title (since ya only get one or the other - thanks for pointing this out, Brian. ;) ) 3) For the shuffle toggle, read "123" when it's off and "312" when on. :D 4) For the Repeat toggle, have the half (that looks like a sideways U) when off and the current loop when on. 5) In windowshade mode, the track time remaining seems to take up more space than it needs for the seconds area. 6) More colors It's great for what it's intended, but the little touches would really polish it up. - August 16, 2002 by Ben Wipperman

really nice job - Although lacking in the gfx department, I can't help but give it 5 stars...it's just too well designed with regard to useability. Everything is where you need it, and it doesn't get it the way. I like being able to choose EQ presets on-the-fly, without having to hit "load". Only 2 color themes, but both are nice and easy on the eyes. Although in the Graple theme, text highlighting is still blue (pref, PL, ML) which looks odd. It's a little hard to tell when the buttons are depressed (shuff, xfade, rep)...maybe change the colors on that. It would be really cool if the windowshade automatigically was positioned in the middle of the active window's titlebar...similar to how the Zygote skin works (but have this as a user option). Hopefully the author will do a little more tweaking, then this skin will be perfection :) - August 14, 2002 by Cheeky Boy

Scale & Opacity - Nice and Clean! I've always hated big and/or cluncky skins. Another bonus is the utilization of scaling and opacity. Too small, some say? Just scale it up to your desired size! Check out different opacities too if you like your desktop. I would like to see more colors though!
