The Compleat Lyric Plugin - Belying its modest aesthetic, this must be the cleanest, most helpful lyric plug in available. A true classic, it still works great for me. Unlike the trashy coding of other plug ins, this one is no muss and no fuss. Saving lyrics in lyric3.2 format, there's never a need to search databases or lrc files. It works consistently, unobtrusively, and plays nice with your other windows. No, it has no search, but we know how to use google, right? I've used this lyrics plug in since it came out. Used to be the best lyrics plugin - This plugin is now showing its age, and as of version 5.24 it will crash winamp. (it was working fine on 5.2) I had emailed the author to ask why he stopped developing it and offering to continue its development if he would pass the source code, but he advised that he lost all the source code (along with the rest of the dat on his HD) at some point. Where are you Carlos? - This is an "almost perfect" plug-in. I've used this plug-in for more than two years. The only problem is that it's not really skinable. I'd like to recommend nullsoft-winamp take this as a built-in or add-in in its future vesion, although it is too late now (WMP9 already does) . Nothing is perfect, but it can be this close =P - I think it's great. I didn't give it 5 stars because I found it a little bit difficult to understand at first. See, I didn't know how to use it with txt files until I noticed the system tray icon and I changed the configuration. So... once I figured that out, it worked perfectly. Maybe you should think of adding that Setting Menu in the tool box on the window (maybe is already there and I haven't seen it, but just in case). MAKE ONE FOR WINAMP 3.... LOL - Aight... Your program's really cool. I like the way i can choose either to save my lyrics on lrc or txt format. Now, I took off one star cuz it's using too much system resources; not exactly too much as to crash my computer, but it's not normal that my computer has to use 50% resources to change songs while using winamp and stop for like 2 secs in between songs even though i'm using a crossfader, whereas w/o the lyrics it tops 6%. It's k tho.. no big issue. Now, the real issue is that YOU MUST, or should i say PLEASE... whatever u want me to say, think that i said it.. but POR FAVOR, make a Winamp3 version.... ;) Ciao Tocayo. - August 20, 2002 by Carlos Ortiz

it is GREAT! - It REALLY works! auto-scrolling, auto resizing window, lyrics3 format (saving lyrics into the mp3 file), easy-to-use lyrics editor, skins... Excelent! - Ive been usin this plug in now for over 6 months, and it rocks! a lot of my mp3's now have lyrics stored inside them (lyrics3 format) and every time a friend comes by, they ask me how i do that. trust me, its cool! also check the reproduction control on the creator's site. perfect if you want your computer to automatically play on start up, and many many many more cool features.
