Nice try, but... err, no! - It did make some sounds reach out and beyond the speakers (virtually of course) but the bad bass boost effects make this a must-NOT-have for any level of audiophile. And the Reverbe effects?; who REALLY wants to sit in a cave, chamber, or long halway...etc and hear how the music would sound... really, think about it. Just do it - Tried them all and this plugin is awesome on my standard 2 channel computer speakers. I have been into hi fi etc for over 20 years and know good sound when i hear it. This expands the sound stage to give an absolutely wonderful full 3d sound which just has to be heard to be believed. It also adds more bass to help with the fullness and richness of the sound. It does not destroy any of the original sound either. All the highs are there clear as a bell but you would swear that you are listening to a 5.1 system. I was going to upgrade my speakers but now there is no need at all. It really is that good! And an absolute bargain too. I don't normally agree with paying hard earned for a plugin but with results like this it's worth it. The last version is 3.2. Sadly the company has not continued with this plugin for Winamp but it works fine with latest version of Winamp (currently using 5.03a). Just get it, trust me. Amazing, Incredible, The Best Ever... - This is the best surround plug-in that I had ever tested so far. I tested over 20 plugs, including VST and DirectX for Wavelab and Sonic Foundry ah sorry SONY Sound Forge :) ; lots of stereoziers, many 3D filters did not produce this High Quality, well, accurate output. Good while it lasted...... - This is a great plugin and i recommend it to everyone who likes there music all around them. It didnt last long before its evaluation expired though, i didnt really get a chance 2 try all of the features properly. Not bad...but - The plug in itself was not bad, I tried to buy it, but the payment procedure sucks, first it say my credit card address cannot be verified, I used another one,then it says it requires "manual authorisation" and they sau they even have to phone me to authorise the damn thing, for what $10 !!! Winamp on steroids - WaveSurround V3 elevates Winamp into a different class of product. I just installed it a few minutes ago, and the before and after is amazing. I now have clear stereo set to room surround effect, and I'm happy with it. With any kind of music, Winamp, WaveSurround V3 and my Philips Rhythmic Edge sound card come together to rock the house. Use In Moderation - Expands soundstage and detail of music but only if the controls are used in moderation otherwise the music starts sounding out of phase and weird which for some people is what they want. For musical realism take it easy on the speaker separtation feature, the bass boost, or any reverb that you might add. Enjoy. - March 29, 2001 by Norman Hunter
