amplify and re-mix the surround channel + add delay

This plugin substracts the surround channel from a normal stereo image, amplifies it, delays it and remixes it into the output, so U can get a better surround image. Try it! - made in Delphi

Surround remixer - amplify and re-mix the surround channel + add delay

Staff review

There were crashes with this and it did appear to do as described though whether it does give a better output is debateable (personally i found it detracted from the original sound). Not bad but may be useful if you're looking for this sort of sound processing.

great! - this plug-in is great for stereo speakers ;). Best for room stereo or quad Players (HI-Fi Systems)connected to PC.Average for Dolby Prologic sound. and bad for real 5.1 sound. - November 21, 2008 by Man Andrew

Its a incredible plugin! Dont loose it. - This plug in works in a really nice way. If you got an external decoder for dolby prologic it enhaces in a really good way the sound, considerating than im just using a standard RCA cable to conect from my laptop to the amplifier. Its sound is really good, not any distortion, but i didnt use the surround delay, cuz i beleive my amplifier does the work. Good work Istvan. - November 14, 2006 by Jose Gordillo

Misunderstood plug-in - I have one of those old Curtis Mathis Surround Recivers and I\'ve always wanted to use that same emulation on my PC setup without having to use that reciever. So, in my opinion, this is a great plug-in. However, I\'ve found that it will not work with versions of Winamp newer than 5.13. It is ideal for 2 channel stereo and is not optimized for 5.1 surround unless the 5.1 DSP is set to something like Simulated Stereo or 5-Channel Stereo. This plug-in acts as a 2-channel emulation of the Simulated Stereo DSP that comes standard with most 5.1 recievers. I prefer to set the plug-ins -SRND channel ratio to about 65% -Enable the Bandpass Filter -set the SRND Delay to 20ms -since the Inv echo just inverts the Left channel signal it sometimes gives more of an expanded sound depending on the track Maybe some day the author of this plug-in will create another version of it made for newer versions of Winamp. - October 9, 2006 by Aiden Asunder

Flatter Sound than Other Plugins - I'm not sure if I'm not using the plugin correctly or whatever, but when I compare this plugin to other plugins when playing output to my 5.1 rig via coax, I actually get a much flatter, deader sound. I thought that this couldn't be true since the point of this plugin is to enhance 5.1 output, so I had my roommate sit in the soundfield and I played a sample from a Gin Blossoms MP3 using this plugin and SqrSoft's Advanced Crossfading plugin without telling him why. He said that the SqrSoft plugin gave a much better-sounding output, which I agreed with Also, I found that when I use this plugin Winamp will sometimes hang at the end of a track. It will continue playing if I skip to the next track. - February 18, 2006 by Majik Fox

Works great!! - If you have a 5.1 setup, combine this plugin with KB 5.1 Output plugin and you will get much improved surround sound output. I'd have to say it sounds pretty close to real PL2 than many other plugin combinations I've tried. I have yet to experience any crashes with it. - February 8, 2006 by Michael Martinez

Nice Plugin - This is a very nice plugin. All functions work very well. The virus alert is a false information by an Anti-Virus software. Of course, there is no Virus in this plugin. I have tested this using many popular Anti-Virus s/w. Ctsnd - September 22, 2005 by ctsnd c

Awesome work... really helps older albums - You should listen to My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" with this plugin. Not only does it amplify the audio, but it pushes a lot of the sound outward, which is likely what a remastered recording of this album would sound like if it was released today. The best part is, nothing seems to sound distorted or lost if you keep everything at the default settings. I'm not sure if this is ideal for all music, but for a lot of old albums made with old production methods, this seems to help a lot. Excellent work. - August 17, 2005 by Nick X
