This plugin is not the most spectacular, but straightforward.It works only for stereo source.

Very straightforward dsp effect... some configuration would be nice to have... .such as a slider for amount of stereo expansion.

Excellent - Zero distortion, simply does what it says. Great sound. It works very nicely using the rear speakers on my 4.1 setup. I use Simply Surround by Sergey Shamshin when I want more pronounced fidelity and Stereo Expander when I want softer surround sound. does what it says, and does it well - Very reliable and fast. Unlike some dps's this just does one specific task. It takes sounds that are off center and makes them more so. So if a sound is 25% away from center to the right, it will sound more like 50% off center, or something like that. The result is that the audio seems more spread out, it's a distinct difference. It does nothing to mono files, it would have to pull something out of it's virtual ass to do that. Also, it puts out a very clean sound, there's two ways to increase stereo separation, delay one channel slightly, or go in and actually modify the content of each channel. I suspect it does the former, because when I unplug one of my speakers and toggle the plugn I hear no change in tone or volume. By delaying one channel your brain is tricked, but bass response is altered too. If the bass was out of phase between the channels, it might increase with this plugin, if it was in phase it will become out of phase and therefore partially canceled which means weaker bass. *Note: If your looking to something to spread out audio while wearing headphones download "reverb/speaker simulator", which does processing to make the headphones sound like speakers in front of you rather than inside your head. One Word Incredable - I have Quad Speaker with a subwolfer... I thought my sound couldn't get any better, but you proved me wrong. Not too shabby - I'm gonna keep this short and bittersweet. It slightly improves sound quality on my computer. It definatly could use some configuration options. Can not be serious! - What a childish approach to sound improvement. You can not be really serious, can you?? Check out some of the other plug-ins and compare and you shall see what I mean.
