shutAMP
Featured Plugin, November 14, 2002.Shutdown agent for Winamp. shutAMP is yet-another general purpose plugin for Winamp 2.x which does full system (Windows) shutdown when Winamp reaches the end of playlist during the normal play. Shutdown doesn't commence immediately and shutAMP displays a countdown dialog with a Cancel button prior the shutdown. Why do we need another shutdown agent for Winamp, you will ask? Because this one will really work. Shutdown sequence is based on a Microsoft documented issue on ExitWindowsEx function and has been tested on Win9x as well on Win2000 platforms. It will guaranteed shutdown your system and turn the power off (!if you own an ATX tower!).

Straightforward shutdown pluginDoes what it says; when last song in Winamp playlist is finished, this will shut Windows down. You have a 3 seconds to cancel the action via a dialog box that appears. Fairly simple and straightforward.

Almost Perfect - Works exactly like it says. Only problem is the tray icon doesn't go away when you shut down winamp until you drag over the tray icon. Not really a big deal but it would be nice if it was fixed. - December 25, 2005 by Ben Johnson
Quick and simple - I'm listening to Winamp every night so i can't turn off the PC by myself, 'cause I'm sleeping... ;) This Plugin is just doing what it should do, without any bugs. Impressive! - October 18, 2004 by Peter Singer
Excellent - this plugin is very useful to me because I listen to my favorite tracks on winamp every night and never wory about the computer shuting down. I just don't know if it's compatible with XP... nice job anyway! - January 6, 2003 by Borko Stefanovic
shutUP - 1 reason: you're listening to some smooth tracks in bed. you fall asleep & don't want to have your PC churning all night for nothing, but you also don't want to wake yourself up fully by getting up, walking over & turning it off. Many people use their PC & winamp as a complete substitute for mini/midi/seperates systems, and the vast majority of those come with sleep functions, so why not on computers? PLUS! Why the hell are you dissing on things that you have no interest in? Get yourself a better hobby than clogging up winamp servers with your opinions about things that you are admittedly clueless about. This guy's spent his time making something that 27234 people (so far) have downloaded, so obviously want, and the first thing they all read is you railing against this product you don't understand. chump. - January 2, 2003 by Simon Dedman
useless - I don't get why people waste time doing this. Tell me one reason when do you listen music and you aren't able to shut down your pc by yourself. - December 31, 2002 by Maros P.
