Mutes winamp when phone rings

This plug-in listens for a phone ring using your microphone, and when a ring is detected it mutes winamp.

You need to record a wav file of your phone ringing and put it in the correct directory for this to work. Useful plug-in, although, it's really not that hard to manually mute speakers when the phone rings...and you have to leave your microphone on at all times to make this work.

hmmm - i gotta agree with the staff review on this one... It's a cool idea. Something that would be neat though...have the plugin detect a ring at the modem. things to keep in mind regarding that.... If you use dialup internet, you would either need a seperate modem to detect the ring, or you would have to be on broadband internet (i.e., DSL, Cable Modem, LAN), so that your modem would be free. Or....how about expanding on your program, and making it voice-controlled. you record your voice "play", "stop", etc....i think you get the idea, just a more extensive version of what youre doing now... - October 5, 2001 by Cameron Miller
