mp3rename is a new plugin tool for Winamp that lets you rename a whole album of MP3's, by looking up the album on 3 databases on the Internet. You choose the album that matches yours, and it renames all the tracks into a customised new form. This version is free, so there is no registration timeout.New July 2002: Removed one of the proxy servers as it was crashing the program halfway through. Very useful plugin

If you have a bunch of mp3 albums without titles, then this is for you. Just load up the album and this plug-in will go online and grab all the information for you...and rename all your files. Very handy. This is a free version.

Handy indeed - I ripped a lot of cd's back when I didn't have internet yet, so these had no tags. very unhandy if you want to leaf throug your music on devices like iPods.... This tool rocks! - June 2, 2003 by gregr egdom

Bad Bugs - You can't load too many files, or it decides to crash. Would be nice if you didn't need the entire album. - September 24, 2002 by Eric Scouler

It works, that's it... - The plug-in effectively renames files, as long as you have the complete album. To bad it doesn't work on just a few files. Also the plug-in sometimes has an illegal operation wich causes winamp to shut down. Get the bugs out and you've got a great plug-in! - July 3, 2002 by Dennis Betten

Only $10.00? - Even tho' the plug has a good solid base it seems to me that the "Free WinAmp" system is starting to fail, and it seems to be starting with "Shareware". Who am I do deny a man a $Dollor? but really...$1, $5, $10, $1000.00, its the "WinAmp" best of the best reputation that worries me now. But....like I said,,it's still a good "Plug" - November 11, 2001 by Steve Mudd
