MikroAMP v2.52 provides instant access to WinAMP's core playback functionality, including the playlist and bookmarks.

WinAMP hotkeys are supported, skinning is supported, including the inside of the MiniBrowser, and on Windows 2000 with LucidAMP, Alpha Transparency.

MikroAMP is tiny, handy and leet. Only 32 or 16 pixels square. There is also the option of using a tray icon. MikroAMP supports wheel mouse actions and four other click actions to control playback and volume.

Your solution to having a cluttered desktop. This handy little plug-in is just that... little. It allows you to control Winamp with a tiny square controller. Right click on it for even more options. -dg

Now updated to WA2.9 specification, is even sexier than before , if that is poss....

I didn´t like it too much - Reduce Winamp to only one button is a good idea, but once I´ve installed it my Winamp got too many problems to run. Therefore I did´t like it and it´s now out, but I will include a skin for it in my next skins, for convenience. - May 2, 2007 by Wilian Souza

Can't access main Winamp window - It's generally a great little toy, but the problem I have with it on all 3 machines is that if you minimize your main Winamp window, it's impossible to get back unless you jump through a lot of hoops. If you're running MikroAmp, you probably have Winamp's system tray icon turned off (no reason to want 2 icons for Winamp there). To get back the main Winamp window, you need to turn that back on through Preferences and the only way is to right click from another Winamp window (such as equalizer or playlist windows). Once that is back on, you must use Alt-W, using the right click options to open Main Windows won't work. All of that to me defeats the purpose of it if you can't access the main window when you need to. It would be a super plugin though if this was fixed. - May 3, 2006 by Melanie Henderson

MikroAMP - Well good but... - Well when I installed version 1 it screwed Winamp up completly but after that i installed version 2. It works well, but there's not point, I use the Joystick Control PlugIn and TrayAMP. right idea, BUT.... - I love the idea, since I always use Winamp in the little windowshade mode... I do have a suggestion for future plugins like this: Create one that puts the controls on the window's taskbar. The taskbar is there to give access to all your windows, while still being able to use the rest of the screen... it only makes sense to put winamp there too if you are trying to conserve desktop space... - June 12, 2001 by Jim Spath
