Multi-Device support for the Media LibraryAllows for you to see all your connected devices (drives) in the Media Library. You can then move files between devices as you would in Windows Explorer.

Worksbut inflexible, there is bettre... - Well yes, it works, but there is more flexible and usable plugins. eg. "SendTo".. - April 20, 2008 by Rickard Uddenberg
very useful - I copy music files to a ramdisk , then play them with Winamp directly from RAM. This saves a lot of wear and tear on the hard drive, and means less hesitation, stuttering, etc as program access to the music file is instantaneous. This plug in allows easy access to Windows explorer functions of copy, delete, etc, and makes it easy to copy to ramdisk before playing. Windows explorer will do the same thing, of course, but that involves more steps, and is more clumsy. I have also found that using a two-pane Windows Explorer shell program like FreeExplorerdoes the same job just as well, perhaps better, and has more functions, It integrates easily with Winamp through right-click menus.Just copy files to ramdisk, select them all, right-click and choose "play in Winamp". The files are added to Winamp playlist and playback is started. - April 16, 2008 by Fred Glavin
Doesn't work with 5.5 version anymore.. - Hi everybodyI was very happy with this plugin in earlier versions of winamp, but now that 5.5 version has come with an end for this nice add. It just appears in the menu 'Send to' but it doesn't send anyhing at all; even HDD or USB. If anyone read this, please let me know if there's an update available.I'm 98% happy with the 5.5 Winamp version, but this plugin saves me a lot of time to send files by net use.Thank you all! - December 8, 2007 by Joel Farfn
Finially what i am looking for? - I have a car that reads my usb drives so this plugin is AWESOME. I can send files or whole playlist to my thumb drive and listen my favorite songs as I drive! Awesome plugin.Mikael Stadden - December 6, 2007 by Mikael Stadden
Wish winamp came with this - Perfect if you want to put music from your playlist onto a flash drive. Winamp has a feature similar to this now, but it makes folders and takes forever to do it. I don't want the folders, because one of my mp3 players won't play the tunes if they are in folders. This was exactly what I needed. Simple, easy, and works flawlessly. - December 21, 2006 by Eric Huball
i can see only my hard drives!! - i install it, and only shows my hard drive and the restage drive. i can?t see the cd-rom driver and the others removable devices... i?m using win 98 and a classic skin... it could influence? - September 9, 2006 by Miguel Torrellas
Most essential Plugin at Winamp - Of all the Plugins in Winamps vast library this is the most usefull. In fact, I call it essential and find it curious that Winamp hasn't just integrated the concept into it's release. Go figure. Get gUSB. - August 22, 2006 by Frank Parker
THANK YOU!!!! - DUDE, THANK YOU SOOOO FREAKIN MUCH!!! I WOULD HAVE HAD TO SELECT 300 of 2000 SONGS ALL OVER AGAIN IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU. THANK YOU SOOOOO VERY MUCH!!!!!! - August 10, 2006 by David Gross
This is a great plugin, but - I'm missing the option of getting the playlist as a folder on my MP3players. Hope you'll fix it soon. 5 stars if you fix it. - July 21, 2006 by Per Egnerfors
Respect !!! But... - Its very usefull. it does what it says. but i'm missing the possibility to create a directory. I hope this feature will be added soon. - July 21, 2006 by Manuel Poeschl
Doesn't work with Creative Vision:M - I get a generic "transfer failed" error when I try to use this to transfer mp3 files to my Creative Zen Vision:M. Winamp 5.21 and WinXP Pro, if it makes any difference. - May 23, 2006 by Jeffrey Kaplan
Why isn't this a part of WinAmp? - Pretty much perfect. Finally gives you full ML and "send to:" access to/from all of your drives and usb portables. I was always irked that winamp couldn't do this by itself. ML even tells you your storage capacity and bytes free, which explorer won't do with my SanDisk Sansa without going into the properties. And so far, it seems to be stable! Very useful and cool plug-in! - May 20, 2006 by Andrew Spitzer
it works great! - this is great! i don't have to use musicmatch jukebox to load songs onto my RCA mp3 player anymore 'cause i love winamp, its the best player ever and this plug-in makes it even better, thanx. - May 11, 2006 by Kristen Loseth
Perfect - Does exactly what it says on the tin. I\'ve tested with a pocket pc using Softtick\'s card export. - April 26, 2006 by Faheem Pervez
Won't see my Pocket PC - Pretty good for USB types but I was hoping it would pick up my PDA - March 26, 2006 by General Internet
not perfect - A great idea, but there are two things missing before I will consider the plugin really useful: possibility to create a directory on the device and automatic organising according to artist/album, ie if I send a song to the device, I want it to be stored aa x:\MUSIC\artist\album\file.ogg. When this functionality is added, the plugin will be perfect. - March 6, 2006 by Andre Pegels
Useful but.... - Very usdeful but doesn't behave as expected... ... I hope than can recgonize a generic Mp3 player like it is. NOt as a Devicebecuase i really wanted to mange the device on Winamp, - March 3, 2006 by John Doe
very useful - this is a very useful tool! - February 28, 2006 by Adrien CLOT
Plug in Review - This works just as the claim is made. Easy to set up and use. - February 25, 2006 by Jason Morthland
Best so far. - This plug-in is doing what it suposed to do, pretty damn good!! - January 14, 2006 by Rob van_den_Bos
Just what i needed... - I wanted to use winamp as my primary player and I needed to find a way to load my mp3 player using winamp... Once winamp recognized my samsung player, I was home free... this plug-in was just what the doctor ordered!!! It's a very simple way to make winamp communicate with any outside device, if that is what you need, then this is the plug-in you are looking for... -Rich - December 30, 2005 by Rich Jones
***** - WoW, j'aime pas mal mieux Winamp que iTunes. Bravo FRENCH WINAMP! - December 25, 2005 by Vincent Laurin
J'y crois pas ! - Mais oui, ca marche... This great plugin works perfectly, thnaks ! - December 19, 2005 by Yann P
Back Door Bot - With security being one of the largest agendas to fall on the table near the end of this year my first question is who left the door unlocked. I do congratulate French innovation for a well rounded piece of work. However this plugin allows winamp to directly access elements of your system not normally available. Before making use of this plugin I was limited to telling winamp where to look for my music. Now I can directly access nearly any file on my hard drive. This looks like a potential security risk in an otherwise decent plugin - December 19, 2005 by Nox Corax
Works exactly as I wanted it to! - I was looking for a plugin to send files directly from my playlist or Music Library to my portable MP3 player (which is basically a USB flash drive) ... and it worked perfectly! Thanks!!! - December 7, 2005 by Chris Lyons
IT WORKS!! helps you transfer all.... - when somethings work i always give a review and this one WORKS!! helps you transfer all your files from winamp to every device connected cds\zips\usbharddrives and what not ! 5 stars. - November 26, 2005 by Orion Mizrahi
No order! - Pretty excellent except that it basicly does what you could do from dragging files from folders. If this had an exact order feature, it would be perfect. - October 27, 2005 by The_T_C_ N_A
gUSB - all devices - Very good job! supports mp3-player, card-reader, and memory-sticks. makes winamp to a good alternative to other player. - October 5, 2005 by Joachim Drechsler
this should be integrated to winamp - i used to use windows media player to send songs to my mp3 player, now i can do the sane task wioth winamp!! nullsoft you should intergrate this with winamp in the installation. then winamp would be truely great! - October 1, 2005 by Chris Darmanin
Solved a problem - This works a treat, allowed me to see my new mp4 player so I can easily transfer music on to it. - September 30, 2005 by Michael Henry
Great Plugin - Hey, one of the most useful plugins I ever had! One thing for future versions: More Windows Explorer Functions in the ML View like "new folder", "copy", and drag and drop within one view! But all in all 5 stars! - September 27, 2005 by Martin Poehlmann
I Love It - I've got a little RCA Lyre that came with a (shudder) MusicMisMatch Jokebox program to put files into and pull out of it. It was slow, and clunky. Then they improved it and it stopped working completely. Typical of them. I found this plugin that works with WinAmp, my favorite computer music program, and it is easy, quick, and better in every way than that horror from the other company. I'll be passing the word to all my friends with small MP3 players. Great job French! - September 13, 2005 by Michael Burhans
Great program - It's a work of pure genius, well...a bit, Still, it's a great plugin I can just drag-'n-drop my music files from winamp into my mp3 player, it's now become a 30 second chore to do. I used to have to go into my music library (which is on a connection) and wait for it to finally connect to the folder to drag and drop them into my mp3 player, but with this, it's a pure sinch. Good Job. - August 17, 2005 by Matt Davis
Great Work - This is an incredible plug in that will allow you to access all of your accessible drives. Use it with media cards, players, etc. All you have to do is drag and drop. Drag and drop your favorite playlist, your favorite artist, whatever winamp can sort, this thing can transfer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLUGIN. - July 12, 2005 by Mike Wilday
Great! - Works great for me! No errors so far and does what it says! - July 9, 2005 by J F
charot - thanks - July 5, 2005 by Joe DelRio
BRAVO LA FRANCE - Very easy and Helpfull. And it is very quick to open the device files. Vive la France! - June 15, 2005 by olivier BUCHET
My Muvo2 - I love this. It lets me put MP3s on my beloved 4GB Muvo2 and also lets me write to read partitions, which is useful saying most of my music is on a partition. I can't find any errors with this program and recommend it to anyone! - June 15, 2005 by Joe Anderson
Does what is promised - Now I can send mp3 files from winamp to my lyra MP3 player. - June 9, 2005 by Hector Calderon
Perfect! - Easy and it does what you expect it to do. Now Winamp is the only one software I can use to transfer files to my rare portable device :-) - June 4, 2005 by David Pozo Navarro
slows down the start of winamp - At least on my computer this plugin slows down the start of winamp dramatically. I guess this is because it checks the CD drives on it's contents. When there's nothing inside, it needs some time till it learns that the drives are just empty. It would be great if it would just check the CD drives for their contents in the moment of clicking on a CD drive within the plugin. Without this problem, I would say it's a cool tool. - June 2, 2005 by Fabian Everding
works properly with memory stick - this plug-in should be integrated in the winamp-standard/pro-version. thanks! - May 31, 2005 by martinvienne S
YAHOO!!! I'M FREE OF MUSIC MATCH - To the creators of WinAmp and this gusb plug in..a big KUDOS. This plug in is great!!!. I downloaded it and it installed in seconds. I plugged in my mp3 player (RCA LYRA RD2011-124) and it recognized it without locking up. It lists all the songs I have on my device right on my Winamp playlist! It shows how much space you have on your player as well. Effortless intergration. I"m running Windows XP. When I used Music Match, when I plug in my device, sometimes Music Match would lock up and I would have to reboot just to have Music Match connect to my device. This plug in is great. I've been a Music Match user for years. Once the word really gets out about this mp3 player plug in( and I will tell everyone of my friends) This little beauty will give Music Match a run for theirr money. Thank you creators of this little gem!! You have save me much time, effort and the pain of download songs to my mp3 player. Whatever your boss is paying you..it's not enough...:-) - May 30, 2005 by Desdemona Johnson
Problems with the installer - The plugin works perfectly except for this one little problem: there's a small bug in the installer. When I tried to install it, it gave me an error in french about not being able to install the plugin's dll into "/Plugins/ml_whatever.dll". On a hunch, i created the folder Plugins on the root C: drive, and it installed the plugin there! Maybe it's just because it's Windows 98SE, but that bug should be fixed! - May 19, 2005 by addy biru
wilekenc528 - I have a Nomad MuVo from Creative Labs. Has its own software but I prefer using Winamp. Been using it since version 2. (Yea Justin! AOL sucks!) But Winamp wouldn't see the MuVo. But just a 58 K (!) download later it does. Just add a option for English as well as the French (I aint mad at cha) and all will be good. - May 16, 2005 by Jim Collins
Very Cool! - First i would just like to say that this plugin is tha S#$(!... That said... the only thing i would like to see added is the support for mirroring directories on the local and removable drives. Ex: If you set a "root music" folder on both your local hdd and your removable device, when you send the music to the device it would compare the relative path on your local drive to the path on the removable and create the directories that are missing. That way you'd only have to organize your music once on your PC. (kinda like ITunes) Keep up the good work! - May 6, 2005 by M P
Good way to manage device - This is a great plugin! I only have a few comments for improvent: -A bar or other indicator to show how full it is. -Recognition of devices based on device name, and be configurable to recognize that this device can only play these formats. (eg, my Rush only supports MP3 and WMA.) -English lables in installer. It would be nice (for Winamp, too, not just this plugin) if there was some support for multiple-files-same-song, so that one could have low-quality, high-quality, loseless, MP3, WMA, OGG, etc., of the same song. So Winamp will play the loseless version, the high-quality OGG is copied to device A, and the lower-quality MP3 is copied to device B, and the WMA is copied to device C (not all at once). Keep up the good work! - April 29, 2005 by Jamie Bliss
VEry handy - I ahve Thumb/jump drive mp3 Player from Lexar, it works great with me, - April 26, 2005 by richard gagne
Does not work with Windows Mobile 2003 SE - The plugin does not recognize my PocketPC nor the SD card in the PocketPC using WM2003SE. Would have been perfect, it it worked with my device, though! - April 9, 2005 by Baer Tierkel
Awesome - I hve an RCA Lyra player, and it reconizes it just fine. One little prob though.. here at home, i listen to my music at 192k kps/sec, on teh lyra its 128 kps/sec.. wish i could change that in winamp... Otherwise... MUCH better than music crappy MusicCrap software.. Ill buy u a beer if we ever meet!! - February 14, 2005 by Terry Matthews
EXACTLY what I was looking for. - I was looking for a way to transfer songs directly from Winamp to my SDCard for playing in my iPaq. This utility was right on the money! GREAT WORK! - February 3, 2005 by Jeremy Hubert
Great for all us no ipods out there - so what its french - February 1, 2005 by Rob Gallagher
subfolderz? - an answer to my search for a media player that wroks well with my muvo^2. only 4 star cause it needs subfolders in the devices to make ti=his plugin be absolutely perrfect - January 29, 2005 by FeJ walsh
Perfect! - Winamp is everything for me, and with this plugin I can listen the same songs as in my playlist on my way to work. It's just a perfect plugin, and I recommend it to everyone who have a portable mp3 player... - January 26, 2005 by Peter Middelveld
I was mistaken! - You can't drag & drop from Playlist View in the Media Library, but you CAN right-click on the playlist and choose Send To! You have made Winamp much more useful for me, thank you! - January 4, 2005 by Rob P.
Oi! Ross Flannery... - You need a shell extention as this is what this plug-in uses looky here > http://www.redchairsoftware.com/notmad/getnotmad.php Just DL the trail of that... Good luck. - December 23, 2004 by Frankie Robertson
Looks great, But.... - I have a Creative Nomad Zen Xtra and it does not see it at all... This would be great since my library is huge and I have compiled my library to a standard id 3 tag format and would like to be able to use just software player to manage. Any hope of getting Creative support in the future? - December 9, 2004 by Ross Flannery
Nice addition that works great - The only complaint is that you cannot specify folders on the portable drive or device. You can only tranfer to the root of the drive. Other than that, it is a nice plugin that works great. Thanks for your efforts. - December 3, 2004 by Shannon Neal
Very Helpful - This plug-in is very helpful, however I cannot create folders on my flash drive. This makes it hard to organize my music the way I would like it. Can this be fixed? - November 21, 2004 by Natalie Piromsuk
Won't find Dell DJ - It doesn't recognize my Dell DJ, either. From other ratings I would guess that it only supports those devices which behave strictly as USB storage devices, like thumbdrives and USB hard drives. Devices that require special drivers for browsing won't work, since they don't get a drive letter from windows. - November 18, 2004 by me me
BAD A$$ - This plug-in is sweat. I have a RCA Lyra and it works purfectly. This way I can make a work out play-list than just send it to my mp3 player without searching through thousands of songs and folders. - November 18, 2004 by Elijah McGinnis
It's Works great on my palm Zire 72 - Before, I only could transfer mp3 files on to my palm, now I can use .ogg and many more...easily - November 15, 2004 by Willy Wonka
Does what it says on the can - But... - Works great with my 1Gb flash drive. Just wish when dragging an Album from the library to the flash drive it would create a directory, rather than just dump all the tracks in the root directory, how about it for the next release ? - November 15, 2004 by Haydn Martin
Needed Plug-In for many users! - Works very well! - November 7, 2004 by Janis Bojarunecs
great but - i can see my HDD but i can't see my Creative Zen Xtra... and i hoped to find some software to organize it through winamp... may be next time - November 3, 2004 by screenager the_new_hippie
AAARRRGHHH - Yeah it sees my hard drives, but it doesnt see my pocket pc. The whole purpose of this is to see mobile devices, but it doesnt see one of the more common ones. PUT IN SUPPORT FOR PPC NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh. - October 31, 2004 by voodooctystr -
Good, but... - This plugin is good, but I would like to see little improvements... What about alphabetical order in directories? And (this is harder to achieve) what about the possibility of a good interection with Explorer Shell? Like copying/moveing files and dirs: this would be really great! - October 29, 2004 by Alvaro Moran
All my drives but whatabout devices? - I was hoping that this plugin would provide some kind of support for copying files to my portable device (in my case a new Smartphone). It provides access to all my network drives, which isn't neccesarily all that useful as I can drag and drop files in explorer. However, some basic support for portable devices would be very much appreciated. - October 10, 2004 by Christian Jose
not working with my smartphone - since i manage all my music with winamp i was hoping to find a plugin which helps me to transfer songs to my smartphone, windows mobile 2003 second edition. the smartphone is connected to the pc by usb and is recognized by the pc. but the smartphone is not shown as a device. maybe this could be a feature for the future since every day people are switching to smartphones and use them as mp3-player... keep up the good work. greetings. - October 8, 2004 by Bruno Baumgartner
Great Plug-in - Exactly what I needed to copy files from Winamp to my iRiver HP-140. :) Thanks for this plug-in! - September 27, 2004 by David Peppard
Stopped Winamp from loading - Sounds like it worked for other people, but when I installed it, it made winamp stop loading. Now I have to re-instal. - August 24, 2004 by Jordan Elmore
Sweat - works great. i have more choices of where to put stuff. Would be better if i could create folders in it while using winamp, instead of creating them through my computer. - August 15, 2004 by Matt Deckman
Super w/iRiver IFP. Could be a 5-Star. - Works great for my iRiver IFP-380T and IFP-180T (USM firmwares). HOWEVER.. I wish you could right click on the Drive-Letter and create sub-folders. Until that feature is implemented.. I have to open up the windows-explorer to the drive and create the folders that I want. Only then can I navigate to it via this winamp plugin. Would be a FIVE-STAR if this were already implemented. john. - July 21, 2004 by john inman
Hey, great! This worked for me! - I'm using XP and found this plug in to work just fine. I have an old RioOne 64 that's not supported by anyone anymore but this little jewel recognizes it just fine. Thanks, man. - June 28, 2004 by Rick .
hmmm - Good script, but I got it so that I could use it for my Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen so that I wouldn't have to be confined to the creative player...and I figured that since this plugin claimed to detect USB devices that I could get around that barrier...unfortunately not the case. Will there be support for that in a newer version? I'd happily give it 5 stars if it weren't for that one thing. - June 17, 2004 by Aaron Gagnier
Nice - It's very nice, since I have an Archos Jukebox V2, which when plugged in via USB, acts as if it's just another HD. This makes it very easy to use it with only having to deal with 1 program. My only complaint is that you can not tell it to remove a hard drive off the list, I'd prefer not to have my extra partitions or my main HD listed. And it should have a way to only list winamp file types. This isn't too much to ask for. I would also like to see a folder option, like instead of browsing through the little window, it lists the folders like Windows Explorer does, on the right side. That would make it alittle better with the drag and drop. Anyways, good work. - June 1, 2004 by Ryan Boyles
Great Plugin! - I love this plugin, it makes things way more ez'er, the only problem, if you dont know what your doing you can delet your Microsoft configuration files, and really mess up your computer! But be carefull and you'll have no problems. Maby in the future they'll remove the files that can and will harm your computer if deleted. Or just allow you to choose what files are able to be seen. All my drives were seen with NO problems, took all of 3 seconds to install. I'd just like to see the important files removed, or the ability to remove them, i got touchy fingers and coould hit the wrong button real fast and get into big trouble. 5/5 - May 28, 2004 by Martin Rudolph
net md - nice plugin voor transfering to my usb-stick but what i would really like is to use this pluging to send music to my net-md-walkman. I hope this wil become possible soon because the software i have to use now is... shitty!:D - May 9, 2004 by wer wer
Reason for installing Winamp - It is. I've got a portable player, and was looking for something to organise music that could also do what this plugin does. Couldn't find a thing until I looked at the plugins for winamp on this site. Needless to say I really like it. - April 28, 2004 by Corne Vergouwen
please - any chance of u makeing one that works with usb connections, it would be very very very cool of u to make an updated one - April 26, 2004 by carnage UW
Looks great - It looks and sounds great but it'll be nice if you can use it for usb mp3 players (that doesn't dock like a removable drive). - April 6, 2004 by aung l
The best thing to come out of France since Pain au Chocolat - This plugin is what I have been searching for a long time for my MuVo MP3 player (which acts as a disk drive in Windows Explorer). Now I can create playlists while listening to music to send to my MuVo at a later date effortlessly. Thanks very much, glop. - March 25, 2004 by skinme! (wa2skinner)
Great! - This is a realy good working and useful plug-in. Great Work. - March 22, 2004 by Dirk Schemionek
Works Great.. Now can easily use my generic mp3 player - This works great. I can now more easily use my mp3 player (generic USB) and other directories. This looks like an updated version of a plugin i found on a french winamp website a couple months ago. Being picky - sorting by name or size would be nice or other configuration options to add not show certain directories or give them alias names?? THANK YOU.. THIS IS VERY HELPFUL. - March 20, 2004 by Geoff King
Great!! - Great plug-in! Very useful. - March 17, 2004 by Christian Tang
Handy that! - very useful... IF you have your mp3 unorganized - March 16, 2004 by Micael Svensson
Great Plugin - Put everything in front of me so I dont have to go looking either through my computer or open file. Great Job. - March 16, 2004 by Eltoro ToroEl
iRiver iHP-120 is now a device - It sees my iRiver iHP-120 as a device and makes copying the library to my player a breeze. Would be nice if you could exclude certain drives, just to tidy up the device list but otherwise, it's great! :) - March 16, 2004 by Adam Romain
