This simple plugin writes Winamp title data (for example playlist position, track title, artist and play time) on the caption of the currently active window. This is a much updated version from the original version created a few years back and it works really well. For a way to quickly see what is currently playing this is a great little plugin (and less intrusive than the balloon popups that have become the craze of late)

Good idea... - My initial reaction after installing this was "Wow, I like this." And I still like the concept. But I don't like the bug I found. When this is running, it affects my ability to highlight text. I assume it has to do with the refreshing of the plugin, because if I highlight fast I can do it. It starts highlighting properly, but as I drag the mouse across the text it will suddenly stop highlighting. On a side note...it installed properly, did what it says it did, caused no program errors, and uninstalled cleanly when I decided I didn't want to use it. - August 25, 2006 by Cows Patoot

unquestionably useful - this is great. i mean, i normally don't go through the trouble of creating accounts on websites just to give something a good rating BUT this plug is just too good. such a handy tool...i love having my song titles and time remaining right there on the foreground window's titlebar... this allows me to focus on current tasks rather than checking winamp icon every time i want to know the name of a song or how much time is left. congratulations and pats on the back for your effort in this wise creation! - March 10, 2006 by snigel x
