Staff review

Excellent dj tool for Winamp

Very clean and easy to use crossfading plugin. Make sure that you go into your Winamp Preferences menu and check 'allow multiple instances.' Once you have two Winamps open, you can auto crossfade between them at a defined speed value, or manually fade them with the slider bar. You can also punch in each track. Press F1 for a hotkey list. The only thing that would make this even better would be bundled pitch/tempo control.

Not Vista compatible? - I installed this application with Winamp. 5.541 on Windows Vista. It did little more than duplicate the controls for volume and select next/previous track. It did not allow me to add a pause between tracks nor did it allow me to crossfade. It was as if the "right" half of the application was non-functional.There are no instructions provided. - December 2, 2008 by Stephen Thompson

Good easy to use - Hi guys, this is just great stuff. Just nice and easy to use. Try also SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading for even better result and let me know what do you think:-). - August 2, 2008 by PeterTomas Kotal

Exelent - Before using the PCDJ software for doing mobile disco, I was using Windows Media with the crossfader enhancment built in. This worked fine except i couldnt change the track early. I then downloaded Winamp and searched the website for a crossfader, eventually finding this one. This is great if you are a starting DJ using a laptop computer. Would Highly recomend to any beginner DJ . Very Reliable software. - March 21, 2008 by Mike Rowlands

Excellent! - Great plugin.Just one thing, I am neither using the taskbar nor the tray icons, just the winamp agent...so I would highly appreciate a button each to bring the winamp instances to the foreground ...or a simple strg+click on the corresponding "fade to" button. Thanks! - September 2, 2007 by Tobias Beer

cool DJing tool! - I wanted a DJing Tool 4 WinAMP, and I get one :-) But the Autoplay works not really :-( I am using the Version 5.21... Another thing I want you to add to your Wishlist is to enable a Headphone preview... With 5.1 Soundcards is it able to route one specific Sound through a specific Port of the Soundcard... So it will be able to mix the tracks correct. If you enable this feature I would be very thankful! - June 15, 2006 by Jens Mooo

Very nice tool! - Works perfect. Simple to use. Very good! - October 29, 2005 by Lars Bussmann

great job! - great job, but an option for automatic fading between the two playlists would be great! - July 22, 2005 by joe d

Cute, but it ain't automatic! - This will not automatically fade between songs. It's cool if you like to do it manually though. - June 10, 2005 by John Paquette

Fadeamp - Nice plug-in, works very neat with two monitors next to each other, only problem: for some reason the Swap Players button does not work when using one monitor on my system, but the taskbar works wonderful as well ;-) - May 16, 2005 by Mr DJ

great on proper system - This tool is exactly what a dj wants to have controlling his two winamps. Can navigate in both playlists, start, stop and pause songs, mute the players seperately and, of course, fade between them. No installation needed. Just run the only file. It's an executable. It's design supports it's usability. Every button i where it should be. Looks neat, but actually that's of no importance to me. The drawback nevertheless is getting it to work. On my win98se I failed even with installing the third version of winamp I found somewhere on the harddrive. But it did perfectly on my pal's machine, who runs some winXP and winamp 5.05. However, there's no risk in trying FadeAmp. No remaining files or registry entries. - February 28, 2005 by Lukas Schubert

Excellent Utility - Like Ronseal, it does exactly what is says on the tin. If you need to crossfade between two winamps then this little plug-in is for you. Looks good, performs well, plays the part. I also like the fact that it's seperate from Winamp as I use other plugins alongside and you can (generally) only use 1 plug in at a time. - October 30, 2004 by Jacob Biddulph

Gooood - Yes, EXACTLY what I was looking for. Works correctly, very easy to use. What I like too: no installing, just running the .exe file. Thanks! - August 18, 2004 by Thomas Michgelsen

nice, but... - pro look but works on 5.x only previos versions are recognized but not handled. I believe plug ins should work backward as well ;) good job anyway. - January 28, 2004 by hexo hexo
