Dell Inspiron Media Buttons

For Inspiron models: 6000, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300 and XPS Gen 1 and 2

The plugin enables the use of the media buttons available on the Dell laptops:

- Inspiron: 6000, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300

- XPS Gen 1 and 2

If it works with other models, please contact me, so I can update the list.

I can only guarantee it will work on 8600 and 8500, but people claim it works on the other models as well.

Not sure if this works (since i don't have the required hardware to test this on) but Winamp at least recognises the plugin when started after installing it..

Heart in the right place, but... - as like 3 others have noted before me, you can use the Global Hotkeys in winamp to get the buttons to work; I have the Inspiron 9300 and just clicked the 'Enabled' button in the Global Hotkeys tab and all the buttons worked from then on, no problems whatsoever. So when I saw this plugin, I was like 'Aw, thats nice, a plugin that you have to download, install, and run in winamp to do all that one click of the right button in winamp's settings could do. smart!' Only Choice if you Own a Dell - Works with the E1505. I imagine it works for all Dells with media keys. Other plug-ins work, but I can't figure out how to get the play/pause button to work correctly with those. This plug-in works perfectly. There isn't any setup because what would you need to change? Awesome - I'm so glad I've found this wicked plug-in, my Inspiron 9300 came with the buttons on the front but I've only been able to use them with CD's. This plug-in is great! It's not just for Dell - I have a HP ZD8000 Whit a remote for a special media program, but with this plugin i can use the remote for Winamp. Perfect! - I use my Dell Inspiron 6000 while driving to listen to my tunes. This handy little plug-in will help to keep me out of the ditch. I did not think to try to set the global hotkeys before I installed plug-in. I uninstalled and attempted to set the front media buttons as hotkeys to no success. Windows will not allow it.
