Installs ok and contains a good amount of configuration options. However, I didn't notice much of a sound difference at all... I moved every slider slightly and dramatically.... still no difference. It would be nice if the readme file actually explained the plugin. Hopefully others have better luck with it, as it looks like a complete plugin with good features.

Cool Free Goodie - when i first installed this plugin i thought "Wow, at last something free to cheer about!!" . Alas !! , i was so wrong. This plugin made a mess of my system and stopped the sound output. i was not getting any sound thereafter. As a good child , i promptly uninstalled the crap and got back to my Good Old Nullsoft Wave out plugin. THis plugin sucks !!!! - August 28, 2008 by shaon mukherjee

Good, but buggy - This is the only plugin I could find that can play music on all my speakers. I found that the 2_3DFakeStereo.3sp config works best for plain music (if you change the volume of the blue channel to 0 in 2_default.3sp, it only uses one channel of the mp3). The only problem is that this mode doesn't use the centre speaker of my 5.1 surround sound system. There might be more (better) config files on the website. The biggest problem I found for this plugin, is that it is quite buggy. Often the music went weird and jumped around (probably something to do with the buffer). I reinstalled the plugin, and now it seems to work ok most of the time. If want to use all the speakers of your surround sound system, this is probably the best bet so far. - November 3, 2005 by Ralf Kistner

just really OK - well if you?re searching for a tool using your 5.1 speakers its greta with the following setting: soundway file: 2_default.3sp and set the volume of the blue speaker (the one which is moving) on 0!!! now it seems to split your stereo on 5.1 channels but its not really surround!!! it?s just splitting!!! nice output-programm. *thunk* - *sigh*. This is starting to piss me off. this plugin does what I need, to get the 5.1 system actually broadcasting in 5.1 off a stereo file. Don't care if it splits it up, just use all 5 speakers. Well, this one does that, but you can't turn off the effec,t which is the music cycling through the speakers. *TWITCH*. This is great - This is just what I'm after -- listening to my stereo song in 3D. Really -- it should be part of the core install, or perhaps something like it! It also has other great features. As the softwares name suggests, you can use presets to have your sound "move around the room." This and WinAmp's visualizations would be most great for parties! - July 4, 2005 by Shane Mitchell

Does exactly what it says - Actually i was looking for a plugin that would expand my stereo mp3-files to 5.1. As most of us know, you seldomly get what you want the first time, but this time i dont care : This Plug-In is a must have for everyone who is into relaxing while listening to music. You can something like time the output to every speaker, so you could let you own recorded mono-voice fly in circles around you, then from front to rear and back again. Or anything else.. Really great. Only thing i found very annoying is that you have to restart playback to hear any changes. Also On my System (SB-Live, NForce) playback is distortet, and stays so when i open up the plugin configuration window. This is a real fun plugin. 5.1 speakers comes ALIVE in 3D ! - can i give this guy 10 stars out of 5 ? LOL well.. this is the BEST 3D sound manipulations I've ever tested !! hey, this is really great! - yea, i mean, where do i find another tool that scrambles my mp3 output so thouroughly, makes my head ache if activated, even scrambles my output when completely disactivated, but that's not all!! the sweetest part of the deal is, it IS UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE IT FROM YOUR SYSTEM (if you want to use your winamp further that is). so, dear creator, if you do a plugin that spawns an error message if removed manually (god knows i tried), at least have the decency to include an uninstaller. there's always people out there who'll have problems with it, be it well coded as it may (BTW, i suspect this piece is not very well coded) PS, if someone was more successful in removing this zerg of a plugin, for the love of sweet jesus drop me a line: kamagurka[at]web.de - April 14, 2003 by Kamagurka Hagaki

Sweet. - I see a use. A guy has no utilities, and wants to know if his 4.1/5.1 speakers work properly. (As is with me.) But beyond that, it does what it's supposed to, and it does it very greatly.
